ULTIDRI™It is generally accepted that
moisture in L&H systems is responsible for serious damage to systems
throughout production facilities. ULTIDRI™ represents a paradigm
shift in the way engineers and operators can think about lubrication and
hydraulic system design. No longer is water removal a luxury for only
the largest and most expensive systems. With an ULTIDRI™ filter-dehydrator,
it is now possible to truly maintain clean, dry oil for virtually any
lubrication or hydraulic system - continuously and cost effectively.
The patented ULTIDRI™ filter-dehydrator has been designed to provide water and particulate removal in a compact, totally self contained, package. Unlike conventional oil purifiers, ULTIDRI™ has no moving parts, no liquid level controls, no rotating parts, no water drains. ULTIDRI™ employs an advanced water removal technology developed by Porous Media that allows the water to pass directly from the oil into a dry air stream (or vacuum). Furthermore, this is achieved without any of the problems usually associated with conventional vacuum purifiers (foaming, flooding, viscosity changes, etc.). To minimize energy costs, there is no need for heaters or water cooled exchangers. Not only does ULTIDRI™ remove free, emulsified, and dissolved water, but its parented technology brings a whole new concept to the industry - scalability. That means that while ULTIDRI™ technology can be used on large and expensive equipment, it can also be scaled down in size for virtually any reservoir and process condition. How It Works: As oil flows
into the ULTIDRI™ system it initially passes through the integral
GENESIS® coreless prefilter (see also Particulate Filtration section)
where solid particles are removed. A portion of the oil then flows through
the ULTIDRI™ dehydrator and over the patented structured packing
which distributes the oil into relatively thin films with a large contact
area. Vacuum or dry compressed air is used to create a driving force for
the mass transfer of the water to diffuse from the oil and into the air.
The air with dissolved water vapor is then exhausted into the surrounding
environment. A great benefit of ULTIDRI™ is its "transparent" operation. Operation is simple, just turn on the power and the ULTIDRI™ does the rest. No valves to adjust, no controls to program, no sight glasses to monitor. It is intended for continuous operation without any operator intervention. For more information, please contact:
